  • US residents only?? GOG sells downloadable game right?

  • woc roun dsgav djym hdmrb bitch little bitch

  • ok i live in edmonton where there is a bio ware on the south side and your telling me i cant enter...bulls**t!!

  • Wazzup

  • Us only ..... f***

  • ofcourse its US only! don't u guyz heard of They'r loved by in god they trust you should be checking ur sins They r the chosen ones for a reason seriously guyz... *Sigh

  • US only -.-

  • it's kinda hard to find a quality edit to do. the ME wiki's pretty refined as far as it can go.

  • To address the comments about this being available for US only, it is mainly due to legal reasons, not postage or shipping. While it's true that BioWare is a Canadian-based company, this giveaway is being hosted and managed by Wikia, which is based in the US.

We know that gamers from around the world visit and contribute to our wikis, which is why we are currently looking closely at our options in hopes that we can include additional countries in future giveaways.

  • So it looks like Mac users are basically screwed, if they win the software.

  • The hardest part is choosing my favorite Bioware game!

  • I did'nt win lack time:( Hope I when this time!

  • I really think this is only one of the many things that the BioWare co. does. They have FANTASTIC game like Baulders Gate 2, Mass Effect's, Dragon Age. I absolutely love them and this just increases that!

  • Because postage costs to 6 people would surely bankrupt a company such as Bioware. The money saved this way will be totally worth all the bad rep you'll get from this. Seriously, Bioware, first you release so horrible "first look" promo material of Dragon Age 2 that it immediately turned off a significant portion of the original Dragon Age fans, and now this.. you may want to fire your marketing department. Your game devs are good, but the marketing department is totally clueless.

  • First you screw Central & Eastern europe with DLC, then you screw whole world with this, how funny is it?

  • FAIL!!! BioWare is CANADIAN!!! It was founded in Canada and its HQ is still in Canada but giveaway are US only WTF...

  • ...US Only eh? Well screw you too, i guess :3

  • From what I have already read in the comment section, everyone is angry because of three god damned words: US residents only. Well, I am angry too. Bioware did the same thing with the "Bioware bazaar" and some people still have a grudge.

  • Yeah, I'll tell my friends that I could not enter this contest because the organizers were lazy enough to check other countries entries... Great job Bioware, Wikia, GOG.com, *applause*

  • Was uber excited until the last line. US RESIDENTS ONLY.. Typical Americans, never cared about the rest of the world. For once, please take Asia, Australia, Europe and Africa in consideration -_-" EA and Activision needs to wake up, seriously. its the 21st century. Funny fact: Theres only two servers in the whole Asia for call of duty black ops. now it looks like EA is following activision's footstep

    • Yes, because there are SOOOO many European, Asian, African, and Australian contests that Americans can enter.

This is how it is with almost every country. Sometimes American contests will also include Canada but rarely. I've never seen a British contest that includes anyone other than Britons. It's unfortunate, yes, but don't sound ignorant by saying that Americans "never cared about the rest of the world" because a contest only ships to residents of the US.

    • @Bentendo Actually, there are a number of contests here in Australia available for access overseas...in fact, most of them are...but does New Zealand count in that matter?

Anyway, why does EA care about Australia? We've got a massive market for games, but there's no R rating. Stops everyone but EA, who...exchange a little bit of money, and hey presto! The game gets into Australia as an MA15, when it should be R.

    • start getting excited*
    • then saw US only*

    sod it....

  • I agree, this "US-only" crap is completely unfair to all the other millions of people OTHER than the US who supported the game. Plus isnt Mass Effect (at least the first one) Canadian made? >___>

  • I would like to have a likewise contest (maybe just with SWTOR stuff) for the German SWTOR Wiki. Who should I talk to?

  • I've made lots of edits here and there, but "significant edit" is much too vague :/ What? Like write an entire page or something? And how do you tell who/what edits are eligible? And everyone needs to calm the hell down over the US only thing. Seriously, guys, chill out. It's one contest, there will be more. International shipping is hella expensive, true, but everyone is forgetting the main problem here: import laws vary from country to country. The paperwork required plus the taxes plus the cost of the actual shipping is a PAIN IN THE ASS.

    • The "significant edit" part is there to discard e.g. vandalism or minor edits that add nothing of value (e.g. changing a few words).

    • I have seen many contests from BioWare in the last months (since I started to follow SWTOR) and all were US only.

  • I don't get the part about making a significant quality edit to a Wikia page. Do I have to add a portion of content to a page? Edit for content, or merely respond to a forum post?
